Mohali, November 11 In a major setback to the Punjab Government s move to declare Nayagaon and nearby areas as a notified area committee (NAC), the Department of Forests, Punjab, has objected to the move on account of the fact that most of the area of the proposed NAC is locked under the provisions of the Punjab Land Preservation Act, 1900, and the Forest Conservation Act, 1980.
